Qatari LNG deliveries to Europe down; volumes to Mideast, S Asia rise

With Desmond Wong

June 10, 2016 11:09:51 EST (2:50)

For the first five months of 2016, Europe has seen a slow down in deliveries of Qatari LNG. Surprisingly, this decline in imports was not lead by Europe's largest importer of Qatari gas, namely the UK. Desmond Wong explains how arrivals of Qatari volumes into the UK have remained largely stable compared to the same period last year, with declines from Belgium, Turkey, Portugal, France and Italy, cumulatively forming the bulk of the decline, with increased volumes heading into the Middle East and South Asia.
